WEISSER RING e.V. (violence counseling)
Crimes have different effects on those affected, but often last for a long time. Crime leaves behind physical and emotional wounds, unanswered questions and all too often financial hardship. As an aid organization, WEISSER RING helps victims of crime and their relatives to find the right support. One aim is to help people cope with the consequences of a crime in the long term - among other things with human support, help in communicating with the authorities and bridging crime-related financial hardship.
Who we advise

Our target group are adults (aged 18 and over) who are victims of violence or have experienced violence, relatives and friends.
We are a registered association in independent sponsorship.

Working Group on the Protection against Violence Act Münster.
What we advise on
We focus on domestic violence, psychological violence, physical violence, sexualized violence, digital violence/cyber violence and stalking.
How we advise
We provide on-site advice in the form of personal and telephone advice, process support, short-term help (also acute crisis/emergency), information/information material (generally for all interested parties and specifically for professionals).
In addition, the Weisse Ring maintains a nationwide victim hotline (116 006) and an online counseling service (also anonymous)
Languages, accessibility and costs
Counseling in other languages/interpreting support is available in English.
Counseling sessions take place in the homes of those affected or in public places (e.g. cafés).
